This was such an insightful podcast. Ending a relationship with a narcissistic person is incredibly difficult, not just because of their behavior, but also because of the deep emotional attachment you may feel toward them. One of the hardest parts is that the moment a narcissist senses they are losing control, they often resort to lies and false promises of change, making you believe they’ll finally become the loving and caring partner you’ve been hoping for. The truth is, that hope can keep you stuck for a long time. It usually isn’t until you fully accept that the relationship will never be what you need it to be that you can begin to let go and heal. It takes time, but the freedom and clarity on the other side are worth it.
